This original disk was obtained from one of my recent purchases, a standard ds40 5.25" disk which imaged 100% error free. All files were then transferred to a bootable ss80 3.5" disk to be more user friendly.
Bee-Base3 was written by Pawel Lubczonok in 1985 and published by Software Support Services, Townsville, Queensland. Described as a powerful relational database program developed locally for first time users or experienced programmers. HELP can give extensive help within the program. There are also a number of Demo databases on the disk.
We had the Manual/User Notes and a quick check showed it to be 7 pages long, so there had to be a missing page. The original was located and the back page had obviously been stuck to a plastic cover at some stage and the image/text was mostly doubled. This was painstakingly manually edited to remove the 2nd image, so now the A5 sized manual is complete. Please read for full information on the programs operation.
However, the program was copy protected with the original owners name displayed on screen when run. Thanks to RedskullDC who was able to work out the crc of the owners name and change it to that of "Microbee user". So the program is fully operational and runs as usual but now with an owners name of Microbee user.
So in the repository in the Microbee\Software\Applications folder we placed
beebase3_ss80.dsk
and the updated manual in Microbee\Documentation\Manuals\Software folder we placed
beebase3_user_notes.pdf
and the disk label in Microbee\Documentation\Pictures\Disks\5.25_inch folder we placed
