More from my recent purchase of Microbee material, there was also a collection of newsletters from the Townsville Microbee Users Group. The collection started with the edition #11 January 1985 and continued to #32 April/May 1987. Then in January 1988 they appeared with the clubs name change to Townsville Micro Computer Group and now a 2 page Newsletter. The TMCG Newsletters continued Microbee articles but also MS-DOS discussions started, as expected. Newsletters 11 to 13 were small A5 sized and started with the front & back covers using yellow paper. Remainder were A4 in size and ranged from 8 to 30 pages.
An extensive Index of issues #11 to #20 was provided in #21 and includes some from the other Microbee clubs newsletters also that they had received. This was separated out also as a standalone file for easy searching.
Like all the newsletters from all the Microbee user groups, these are full of Whats new, Tips, Tricks, Hardware updates, Tutorials, Program & Book reviews, program Listings and much much more. Most of the clubs appeared to swap Newsletters with one another and they regularly reviewed the top articles from each in their own Newsletter. So all worth a great read for all Microbee users and collectors.
So we are missing Newsletters #1 to #10, any after #32 and any after TMCG Newsletters after June 1988. Can anyone help with these missing copies? Remember, we can do the scanning if you cant or not have the time. Its important that the history of the Microbee be preserved before its all lost forever.
