Running software from the repository with Premium+ from SD

Hi Chaps,

At the risk of seeming clueless, I'm a bit stuck on how to run some of the software in the repository from the SD card with my Premium+.

I've only tried a couple of disks, but as they're not working in the same way I think I'm clearly missing something.

I've tried:
.../Software/Applications/edasm_v42_ds40.dsk
.../Software/Languages/microbee_turbo_pascal_3.01a_ds40.dsk

With BEEMODE.CFG:

EDASM42.DSK

2
TPASCAL.DSK

When I boot with these configs I just get a solid blue cursor in the top-left corner with no further activity.

I've also tried renaming edasm-etc to EDASM.DS4, no change.

I've tried:

BOOT.DS8
EDASM42.DSK (and .DS4)

- which boots into the Shell.  I can then use Ctrl-C to go to the EDASM40 disk, but it's dispalying as B:________.___  and lots of funky characters.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Greg.
The disk images that you are trying to use will most likely have no system on them, so not bootable, and you will need to boot off another disk in drive A
like you have done when you tried

BOOT.DS8
EDASM43.DSK

Almost there.

Try this:

BOOT.DS4
EDASM42.DSK

Then you should boot to the shell like before, but the disk parameters will be set for 40 track rather than 80 track and you should be able to see a directory properly on drive B:
I'm only guessing that this is the problem - where did you get the EDASM42.DSK file from?

sorry, I did see that you got it from our repository when I re-read your post.
That should hopefully cure the problem.

Thanks for responding. The SD card you sent with the Premium+ only has a BOOT.DS8 on it - there's no BOOT.DS4 file.

I've looked through the repository and can't find this file there either. Do you have this file?
