Thanks to Beau for providing a quality scan of this document before it was sold with a Microbee on eBay. It was a single A4 page.
Eliza is an example of computer pseudo intelligence; a conversational program where the user enters any sentence that comes to mind and these are "passed" by the computer, which then makes a suitable reply, depending on the input from the user. The manual describes how to use it and gives an example of a short conversation with Eliza.
Written by Ron Harris in 1982 (maybe earlier), the manual describes 3 variations of the program, DGOS, Microbee and CP/M versions. The Microbee version is on the honeysoft_strategic_games_vol_1.dsk disk in the Repository. We currently have this manual in the Repository also but it was generated from a Wordstar file and appears to be missing some of the text, so this original copy replaces the current version.
So in the MbeeTech repository in the Microbee\Documentation\Manuals\Games folder we placed
eliza_operating_instructions.pdf
