Thanks to kimjohn for making this disk available to be imaged. A standard Microbee DS40 5.25" disk, non-bootable and with no copy protection that imaged 100% error free.
This disk is a later version than what we currently have in the repository and is dated Feb 1987. It is version 1.0Bb and has the 5.25" 80 track (96tpi) formats for CP/M separated out to its own file. From the onboard README file :-
BEE-Alien reads the disk formats created under the two major
microcomputer operating system families, CP/M and MS-DOS. The
former includes CP/M, CP/M Plus, MP/M, CP/M-86, CP/M-68K,
Concurrent CP/M and a number of "CP/M compatible" systems like
SDOS and some versions of TurboDOS. The latter includes MS-DOS,
PC-DOS and Concurrent PC-DOS.
The command lines used to start the programs are :
ALIENC - for regular CP/M formats;
ALIENC9 - for 96TPI CP/M formats; and
ALIENM - for MS-DOS formats.
BEE-Alien will run in both 64K and 128K Microbee machines but is a tight squeeze in the former. We already have the manual in the Repository, so check it out for further information.
Also recently found on the internet is an updated version of PC-Alien, version 1.4Cb. Now has 2 files were they have separated out CP/M and MS-DOS disks to their own files. PC-Alien runs from MS-DOS only (and NOT from a Command Prompt out of Windows) and have found it works fine from MS-DOS 6.22.
So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee\Software\Utilities folder we placed
bee_alien_1.0Bb_ds40.dsk
pc_alien_1.4.zip <--- containing both pc_alien_1.4c.com & pc_alien_1.4m.com
bee_alien.jpg <-- in the Documentation\Pictures\Disks\5.25_inch folder
