Enjoy the stay! For your disk solution, (And if was you who posted over in the Facebook group recently, you're probably sick of this answer :-) ) I'd suggest a Gotek. They're a USB floppy drive emulator.
With the updated FlashFloppy firmware (https://github.com/keirf/flashfloppy) they're a powerful alternative to disk drives. Upgrade them with a screen and a rotary encoder, and you'll wonder how you lived without them.
This one is mine. I flashed the firmware, added a rotary encoder, an OLED screen and a piezo buzzer (To emulate drive noises, albeit quietly). I power it off a customised PSU that has a 9.5v supply for the main unit and a 5v supply for the Gotek. You could easily use a USB PSU with the right cable instead, if you preferred.
