Replacing B drive with Gotek

Ok mjelic, lets take a few steps back while you get the disks from CM.

When you fire up your system
A) Is the LED on the front of the GOTEC on?
B) Is the LED on the FDD on?

If both are on, then both are being accessed at the same time and we can assume they are both set as Drive A or Boot drive. 
If they are both off then either both are set as Drive B or you have a problem with your Floppy Disk circuitry of your Microbee.

OK, I pulled the disk box apart one more time, as the LEDs certainly weren't behaving as you described. I checked the jumper position of the 3.5" I pulled out and it was set as drive zero. So I moved the jumper and connected to the Gotek and bam, it all worked.

But I didn't understand, as I'm sure the 3.5" drive must have been configure as B: drive originally, and I didn't de-rivet that drive to change the jumpers. So I checked the Gotek one more time and yes that too was set correctly as Drive 0. (And it just tested fine with the removed 3.5")

Once again I put the cable to the 3.5" that was riveted in and also the Gotek... Bam, it's deciding to work and the LEDs are doing the right thing as per above. What the hell... The only thing I can think of, is that maybe the cable was twisted or in some way not fitted correctly. Beats the hell out of me.

Anyway, thanks for persisting and leading me to a working conclusion.

Now all I have to work out is how to use PC/M
