Some New Adventure Games from Dreamcards for the Microbee - ChickenMan - 22-11-2025

Thanks to davidm for making these games available on disk to be imaged. Using the Floppyio I got many error on the disk even after a surface clean and using different drives.  Using my Greaseweazle I was able to get a clean scan where the game existed but the boot tracks and menu etc of the disk still posed problems.  So the games were extracted individually and put on individual disks like previous disks from Dreamcards that we have in the repository. So all are now bootable DS40 5.25" disk images.

Some of these games we already have in the Repository but those are all Tape versions. These are Disk based versions with different intros and hopefully any previous bugs fixed. The adventure games recovered are -

Caverns - Written by John Hardy in 1983. This Adventure involving battles with wizards, dragons and all sorts of magical beasties as you hunt for a horde of jewels.

Fallout Zone - Written by Con Zymaris in 1985. Text Adventure that lets you try to escape the exploded nuclear power station.

Hyperdrive II - Written by John Hardy in 1983. You find yourself aboard a strange alien spacecraft, trying to free your own spaceship that has been drawn to the alien ship by a long range tractor beam. Solve the mystery of this deserted (?) craft.

Journey Through Barmoth - Written by Shane Debney in 1984. A subtle text adventure set in ancient times. Hunt down the dreaded Spectre amidst magic and mystery! No trick scenes - just a clever plot that will keep your students enthralled for months!

Killer Bees - Written by David Radnell & Russell Williams in 1984. A semi-graphic text adventure game. Save Australia from swarms of deadly bees before the population is wiped out.

Merlin - Written by Lindsay R Ford in 1983. Start as the young lad "Arthur", develops his character by capturing possessions, fighting off monsters and elusive demons. Your ultimate aim, to search and find the magical sword Excalibur.

Yeti Run - Written by Con Zymaris in 1984. Text Adventure that has you hunting the abominable snowman.

Fallout Zone, Journey Through Barmoth and Yeti Run are new to the repository so we are interested on any feedback from any Adventurers that play these new games or older ones as well.

So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee/Software/Games/Adventure repository we placed
