Searching for ?CONVERT.MWB - Graham72 - 28-09-2025 Back in the day I understand that a Daniel Ford wrote a program called ?CONVERT.MWB to convert ASCII files loaded into WORDBEE into Microworld Basic. This worked with disk files I believe. Any clues where I can find it? Or any other conversion program that can take a .txt file in the format 100 INPUT A1$ 120 PRINT A1$ etc to a .mwb file tokenising INPUT, PRINT etc. I am sure I am not the first person to ask this but my google foo is failing again..... The closest program I have found is CONVT2 by Fred Scott but it works on ROM based BASIC and WORDBEE. Thanks in advance g RE: Searching for ?CONVERT.MWB - ChickenMan - 29-09-2025 What a long complicated way, just load your ASCII file directly into BASIC with OPEN"i",6,"file.txt":IN#6 ON and hit Return and it will load in. Once loaded it will give an error message, then type in CLOSE 6 and then save out your new file SAVE "FILE" which saves the Basic tokenized MWB file. Thanks for the memory jog, ChickenMan. It worked, except final line got lost. If anyone is using this method add two line at end of file Eg 9999 rem xxxxxxxxx 10000 rem xxxxxxxx |
