More Microbee Tapes recovered - ChickenMan - 17-08-2025 Thanks to MbeeTech for making these tapes available to the recorded. This was a large of user recorded Microbee tapes with each side of the tape having 18 to 1 programs. Many of them we already have as tapes in the Repository but many were not. Some tapes were 100% un-recoverable while others were 99% recoverable. They were obviously recorded using different recorders and generally those un-recoverable files were on poor low quality tapes. Those recoverable files generally came on quality tapes like TDK, Sony, etc. All tapes where recorded at 44kHz and saved as stereo 16bit WAV files. The Left and Right channels were separated and saved as mono and then split up into individual files. Many needed no filters applied, like noise removal, high and low pass, etc. some needed minor adjustment while others needed major repair to get an error free load into ubee512 setup as a Prem PC85. To reduce their file size, some were re-sampled down to 22kHz and saved as 8bit WAV files. These still load error free into Basic. Most were Basic programs and were save out as MWB files and are included in the ZIP file. Some were EDASM source also. These are about 1/2 of the files so more to come once finalised. So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee/Software/tapes/Original folder we placed 3d_graph_generator_1200b.wav artillery_1200b.wav big_box.wav big_maths_1&2.zip <-- contains ver 1 & 2 clock.wav dissassembler_6800.zip <-- contains both 300b and 1200b files earth.wav english_japanese_translator_1200b.wav escape_1200b.wav eti688_Eprom_Programmer.zip <-- contains original & modified versions four_1200b.wav galaxian-2.wav games_1200b.wav RE: More Microbee Tapes recovered - ChickenMan - 24-08-2025 Thanks to MbeeTech for making these tapes available for recording.
