Early Microbee main board PROM - ChickenMan - 18-08-2024 Thanks to Cefiar for providing a dump of this PROM and some alternatives note. The various early 1248 Microbee mainboards, including the original Kit 'bee, used a 82S123 PROM in position IC16, which is soldered in. But finally un-soldered and dumped. The 82S123 is a 256-bit TTL bipolar PROM (32 x 8) Tri-state output from Signetics and used as memory decoder. Datasheets for the 82s123 are in the MbeeTech\Public\Datasheets\PROMs folder. Cefiar also noted some replacement devices: 74S288 (National) MB7112 (Fujitsu) HM-7603 (Harris) Am27LS19 (AMD) Am27LS09 (AMD) TBP18S030 (Texas Instruments) 63LS081 (MMI) 6331 (MMI) Other possible replacements, but cannot verify: IM5610 (Intersil) MSL8215 (OKI data) DM8577 (National) M54730 (Mitsubishi) So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee/Software/PROMs folder we placed 82S123_IC16-PROM.bin <-- both in the one zip file 82S123_IC16-PROM.txt / |
