Hello! - 13mh13 - 09-07-2024 New to MicroBee technology! Didn't know hold old it was. 1982. I saw TRON in the movie theater around that time. Are the ICs new-old-stock? I found a local source here on the West Coast of US, that had boxes of early 80s ICs. I've heard that some ICs of that vintage had higher QC than modern fabs. In regards to the new models coming out, they are designed with actively manufactured parts with the exception of : * Z80 CPU (Z84C0010PEG) & PIO (Z84C2010PEG) - these have only just gone obsolete, with plenty of recent date code parts still available * The floppy disk controller (this is an optional part of the build, with normal disk access through floppy drive emulation with files on the SDcard) * The MC68SZ328 (68000 processor) |
