Suzy’s Z80 SBC - someone - 22-12-2023

Suzy is a really avid microbee fan so much so that she designed and made her own more modern version based on parts and technologies that were not available in 1981 when the microbee was designed. Being freed from the original 1981 constraints it allowed her to significantly decrease the parts count. Her design comprises of CMOS versions of penny logic, CPU, PIO and employs larger ROMS and RAMs.
It would be fantastic to have Suzy describe her design in detail rather than a random someone who may stuff it up.

I agree. Suzy's design is a truly amazing piece of work. All of the details are here:

The Construction Notes are an Apple .pages file - a type that I hadn't come across before but found it was very easy to view using the Pages app on an iPad.

Without valuable contributions by talented and enthusiastic community members like Suzy, the Retro Computing scene will disappear into emulators leaving the hardware side to be lost forever for the grass roots hobbyist.
Unfortunately we have seen many hardware focused enthusiastic members disappear over the years and Susy's wealth of experience has injected a lot of life back into the hardware side again.
I believe her desire has been to see a new generation enjoy the same discovery journey many of us experienced back in the 80's when the Microbee was first released as a kit build computer.

Seasons Greetings to all
