Vexed - Under4Mhz - 25-06-2022

Vexed is a puzzle game in which the goal is to move similar blocks together, causing them to disappear. To finish the level, remove all the blocks.

Move blocks by putting the select target on them and pressing the fire button then moving to the left or right. If an empty space is encountered when moved, the blocks will fall towards the bottom.

Scoring is based on a golf-like par concept. If the level is solved in the same number of moves as the target, a score of 0, or par, is given for that level. Note that the target may not be the most efficient one, is it is possible to beat "par" and have a negative score.

Press 'C' to restart the level. The number of moves counter is reset to zero. The level can be restarted as often as needed.

One issue I found, I get to Level 2 and make a mistake, I press C then space bar and it re-starts the game rather than re-start the Level 2. Or have I got it wrong ? Also, at the start when it asks to select Level, I can only select 1.

Thanks, that's what I get for making last minute code changes.

I added the quit game key at the last minute and set the reset game key the same as the game quit key (copy-paste coding). I also fixed an issue where the reset level wouldn't clear the piece under the selector block.

Spacebar to select a piece
C to restart level
R to quit game
,.az Left,Right,Up,Down
jlik Left,Right,Up,Down

I can set the level using uBee (using the above keys). Left/Right -/+1 and Up/Down -/+10. Let me know if it's still not working in this version.

Yes, both C & R now work as expected and I can select the level using Left & Right, will try on a real Bee shortly.

One suggestion, rather than use JLIK as an alternative move set of keys (doubt they would be ever used) is it possible to put in the Premium arrow keys instead ?

Is it just me that can't view the screenshots and get the all-too-familiar "You don't have access rights" error?

Settings are the same for all members of the forum, I have no idea why it works for some and not others.  Though seams if you log out, they all come visible with no errors.

Though I suspect its got something to do with size, if its under 600x600 is where the problem lies.

There are 59 levels in total.
