TurboDisk II disks for CIAB & 128k Microbees - ChickenMan - 01-06-2022 Thanks to Amy for making this original disk available to be imaged. A standard and original Microbee 3.5" SS80 bootable disk that imaged error free. TurboDisk II was written by Michael French in 1988 and distributed by Complete Micro Solutions. This is an updated version of the original TurboDisk released in 1987. Turbodisk II is capable of copying most copy-protected disks available for Microbee disk based computers. It is intended to be used to make backups ONLY of these disks. The program starts with a mind boggling animated screen - There are 3 options when this disk is booted, first is Configuration to tell the program what type of disks drives you have. Second is the TurboCopy program itself and third is TurboFormat to let you Format a disk. There is extensive help within the program by hitting ? at any time. We currently have this program in our repository but it has some problems, so they have been replaced with these. The program does not appear to work on a Premium 128k Microbee. Both versions work on a standard 128k Microbee though as well as a CIAB. The label of the original disk was also scanned and included here. So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee\Software\Utilities folder we re-placed with turbodisk_ii_128k_ds40.dsk turbodisk_ii_ciab_ss80.dsk turbodisk_2.jpg <-- in Documentation\Pictures\Disks\3.5_inch folder |
