Ashton Scholastic Story Maker Disk and Manual - ChickenMan - 01-09-2020 Thanks to vivid for making scans of the manual and others available as well as an error free scanned image of the disk, a bootable not copy protected double sided 3.5" disk. The manual is about A5 in size and 37 pages long. Story Maker was published by Ashton Scholastic in 1986 for the Microbee. The Microbee version was written by Monte Chan and David Morrison and the manual was written by Alistair Campion. Catalogue Number SCS 00002001. With Story Maker in your classroom, your students can become authors and artists, creating simple story books with beautiful pictures. Using the keyboard, students can type in their own stories using six different type-fonts, including Foundation, and with over 60 pictures for stamping on the screen in two sizes, which can overlap. They can also illustrate their own stories by drawing their own pictures using a selection of basic graphics tools. The Manuals Chapters are: Introduction to Story Maker Make a New Story Draw Your Own Pictures Saving a Page Length of Stories Exit Edit a Story Read Your Story Print a Story Do Disk Work Additional information Teacher Activities In addition to the manual, there was also a 2 page Story Maker Quick Guide and the disks labels were scanned also. Story Maker was originally written to run only on the Premium 128k Microbee, so this disk image will ONLY run on a real Premium 128k Microbee, unfortunately ubee512 emulator can't handle the special keyboard controls. The image thats already in the Repository is the updated 256TC version that does run in ubee512 and a real 256TC as well as a Premium 128k. These files were renamed to include Ver2 in the file name. None of the disks will run on a CIAB, Premium 64k or a Standard 128k. There is also one small DEMO file on the disks. So in the MbeeTech repository in the Software\Education folder we placed :- story_maker_128k_ver1_ds80.dsk story_maker_manual.pdf <--- in the Documentation\Manuals\Education folder story_maker_quick_guide.pdf story_maker.jpg <-- in the Documentation\Pictures\Disks\3.5_inch folder story_maker_story_disk.jpg |
