Microbee Learning Can Be Fun Tapes - set now complete - ChickenMan - 23-08-2020 Thanks to ejwords for making these original tapes available to be recorded. They were recorded at 44.1khz and saved initially as mono 16 bit WAV files. The tapes contained no copy protection and just needed cleaning with noise removal so they can load error free into ubee512 as an IC or PC85 Microbee. The Learning Can Be Fun series was an exceptionally popular series of educational programs for the Microbees. All are written in Microworld Basic and we have the actual files of all spread across our Educational disks. These tapes came in a folding plastic case that contained all 6 tapes of the series 1 & 2. Each tape contained 2 programs. Sorting through them, we already had most of them as tape recordings, with only 3 missing. The tapes are : 1A - Gorilla Maths & Fraction Race 1B - Munch & TNT 1C - Adstar & Squares 2A - A-C & Math Race 2B - Rescue & Alpha 2 2C - Frog Opposites & Alpha B The three in bold are the ones we were missing, so we now have a complete set of all 12 programs on tape. The plastic case front cover was able to be slipped out and scanned. On its removal, found on its back was a description of each of the programs but for the disk versions, not the tapes. So in the MbeeTech repository in the Microbee\Software\Tapes\Original folder we placed fraction_race.wav <--- a quality upgrade to existing file frog_opposites.wav gorilla_maths.wav learning_can_be_fun_full_set.pdf <-- in Microbee\Documentation\Pictures\Tapes folder |
