Microbee Decide Your Destiny 1, 2, 3 & 4 Disks and Manuals - ChickenMan - 19-04-2020
Thanks to ejwords for making this original collection of disks and manuals available to be imaged and scanned. Disk all were bootable 3.5" single sided normal Microbee format with no copy protection and all imaged 100% error free. The manuals were all A5 in size and ranged from 43 to 61 pages long.
The Decide Your Destiny is another C.A.R.E. project distributed by Caresoft, which originated from PRIMUG (Primary School Microbee Users Group). Each disk consists of 3 or 4 stories and came complete with a Manual and a number of Discussion Starters cards for each story. Scans of these cards are included in the manual PDF. All boot to a menu for easy selection, such as :-
From the manual:-
This program has been designed to be used with
children in the middle to upper areas of Primary School
who are experiencing difficulty with reading. It has
been developed in the belief that such children need
interesting material from which they can extract meaning
by the use of contextual clues and prediction skills,
and which they will be able to reread when necessary.
It allows the child or children to set their own pace in
reading each section, but requires the story to be
understood in order to reach a successful conclusion.
We already have the Decide Your Destiny Manuals for #2 and #4 but both are B&W scans of photocopied manuals and missing the Discussion Cards. So these 2 old manuals have been replaced. Few of these stories we already have spread over various Education disks in the repository, but not all of them. Stories in each disks are :
