The PB system works with the Compact Flash systems, I doubt it would using the HD system Microbee introduced using the HD18 rom.

Today I started looking for connectors for the Floppy interface - I can find the 34 way ribbon cable and connectors suited to a 3.5" or Gotek drive - but not edge connector style crimp-on .... any clues where I might be able to get these?

Are there any pictures of the inside of the SBC01 drive enclosure here that I can have a look at ?

My sister has not been sucessful finding the 128k SBC in my folks shed yet so I'm considering purchasing a 128k SBC and disk system enclosure (or making one)

I am fairly sure I picked my last batch off AliExpress.

These, from memory.
They don't have the "security notch" in them, but that can be fixed with a little bit of plastic of the suitable width.

Hope that helps!

John

Cheers John - I've ordered a set of them - the 'security' notch isn't something I ever really worried about - a sharpie arrow for the notch on the ribbon is usually sufficient - even if you muck it up the drives arent damaged (but the really obvious light on is a giveaway)
