(I did work experience at Microbee in Koala Cres and Erina street in Gosford in the late 80s!)

I am progressing along and have built MacOS binaries back to High Sierra ( in VM that is ) from the Makefile

These are Intel builds though and not for Apple Silicon

When I have a bit more time,  I'll see whether the Xcode version can be made to spit out a universal binary

Successfully compiles using Make on

* High Sierra
* Mojave
* Catalina
* Big Sur
* Monterey
* Ventura
* Sonoma

The above builds are Intel only.
Apple Silicon binaries will come later ( or you can roll your own )

I have used MacPorts to provide libsdl, libdsk and libzzip libraries

One thing to note : neither building from source or using MacPorts/HomeBrew install the header file zzip/__hints.h. This can be found in the source file under src/zzip

The High Sierra build using SDL1.2 and will resize the window properly under OpenGL mode
Others use SDL12-compat and exhibits the behaviour discussed earlier in this thread

You might get some odd error messages from the different builds

Unable to obtain graphics context for NSWindow (Mojave behavior)

or

Unable to create basic Accelerated OpenGL renderer.
Core Image is now using the software OpenGL renderer. This will be slow.

Doesn't seem to make any appreciable difference to function

Binaries have been built to look for dynamic libraries in /opt/local/lib
Copy the provided .dylib files there or install your own via MacPorts/HomeBrew

Keen for people to give the binaries a whirl before I submit the code to the official repository

Thanks for that Tony, how does one actually install it on a M<ac as I know zero on a Mac use ? Do I just drag the folder to the Macs desktop, add ROM, DISKS, etc + their files ?

Here is the Apple Silicon build of v6.0.7

Copy the *.dylib files into /opt/local/lib

Copy the folders under share into /usr/local/share/ubee512

In both cases, you may need to create missing subfolders

Copy the necessary rom and disk files (from the MSPP repository) to ~/.ubee512/roms and ~/.ubee512/disks

Any feedback is greatly appreciated

That is the plan

As well as a GUI wrapper around app

Most likely once I forward the v6.0.7 code and binaries to the original developer ( ubee ) to post on the MSPP repository

Santa-related activities have delayed submission of ubee512 v6.0.7 source and binaries.

However, I have built v6.0.7 on Debian 12 arm64

and on a RPI3B+ running Raspberry Pi OS ( Debian Bookworm 32bit )

When you have successfully built it, please do publish the procedures used to do so.
